Snigdha is a US and India-based South Asian filmmaker. She has a bachelor's & master's degree in journalism & advertising. After working on documentaries in India, she started her filmmaking career in the US. Her work explores gender, sexuality, and the experiences of women and children, challenging societal norms. She is a 2023 NewFest New Voices Grant semi-finalist.
Her short screenplay, 'Look Like You,' was a top ten finalist at ScreenCraft. The film is available to stream on BFI Player. It won the Audience award for the best narrative short film at the Asian American International Film Festival and screened at Academy-qualifying Short Shorts and Asia and Reel Sisters of the Diaspora Film Festival, Outfest Fusion, New Filmmakers LA and London Indian Film Festival, to name a few.
Her other works have been featured at academy award-qualifying festivals, Shorts TV, Delhi Art Gallery of New York, Oyster Magazine, and the Chilean Film Catalog.
