Polish-Canadian-American actor Stanley Kowalski was born in Bielsko-Biala City, Poland. His friends and family know him by his birth name Robert Oles. He was inspired by Hollywood action movies at the tender age of six. At that time Stanley was dreaming of becoming more of a hero from the movies instead of becoming an actor. He signed up for martial arts at around 10 years old. At age 13 he was introduced to the music world and the guitar. Although the band dream did not work for him, he did have his first introduction into the acting world because of his interest in music. At school, there was a competition that was very popular at the time called "Playback Show". In this competition, the children would pretend to be musicians and perform on stage. They would also mimic the voices and moves of the artists. Stanley and his friends from the band chose to mimic the songs: Livin' On A Prayer, Wanted Dead Or Alive, and Keep the Faith from the famous rock band Bon Jovi. He made his own coat with fringe and paint on the back of the coat that was the same symbol as the tattoo that Jon Bon Jovi has on his arm. His band won that night. This was a first taste of acting which led to his passion later. The more he grew up in life the more his taste was developing. He watched more drama movies than action movies and finished on classic movies. He had a dream to move to America and become an actor. The opportunity came at the age of 23 when he immigrated to Canada. He spent 10 years there before finally moving to Los Angeles.
