David Holland as Director of Development at Television, Ink. in Hollywood. A versatile artist in film, TV and music, Holland began his career with a passion for music editing and production, by enrolling in "The Recording Arts Center" in San Diego where he graduated from the advanced Pro Tools program with music production and film and television postproduction. Upon completion of that coursework Holland composed and produced several music albums for various artist including the prog-rock group "Radio Free Japan." Holland relocated to Los Angeles, graduated from the Syd Fields Writers Workshop, and the Dov S. Simens Film and Producers School, and soon began working for studios such as Lionsgate, CBS, Sony, TV Land, and Village Roadshow. He wrote 6 episodes of "Pete's Arctic Adventure," an animated TV series for children (based in Japan and marketed for that country and China. Holland also composed a song for each episode of that series. From there he penned the films "Saving Josiah" and "When God Made Us Lemonade," as well as the documentary "Ghost Train," which profiles the victims and survivors of the sarin gas attacks in Tokyo. As a staff writer in episodic television, Holland's small-screen gigs have included "Hot In Cleveland," "Dr. Ken," "Rizzoli & Isles," "Hell On Wheels," "Jennifer Falls," "About A Boy," "Grandfathered," Murder In The First," "Graceland." "Falling Skies," many of these he penned wrote multiple episodes. Holland has also served as Executive Producer on short films such as "The Dancer and the Boy" and "Fragile Storm" (both directed by Dawn Fields). From late 2014 through 2017, he served as both writer and director for the Daimler Corporation. While there, Holland developed television commercials for Mercedes Benz and was instrumental in aiding Daimler to break new ground in the field of Digital Brochures and Owners Manuals for their vehicles. At the same time, he scripted and helmed in-house safety and information videos for the company. He has 8 screenplays in script-phase, with two presently being considered by major studios, and has five television series in development. Holland lives with his wife Teri, and family in Los Angeles.
