Ever since 2012 when he was hired by MarVista Entertainment to write their thriller Gone Missing, J. Bryan Dick has been a prolific writer in the cable movie space, having amassed nearly 30 credits of produced projects. His latest Prey For the Bride premiered on Tubi in late February 2024.
Born and raised in Oklahoma, Bryan attended the University of Southern California and received a Critical Studies degree from their film school.
Bryan began his career in the film and television industry as an executive assistant at Rat Entertainment, where he assisted in all aspects of development. This led to his first writing assignment as the story editor for MTV's reality show Fear.
Later, he moved on to work under Academy Award-winning producer Brian Grazer at Imagine Entertainment.
Over the last decade as he continued to script female-in-distress thrillers, he has explored different creative avenues, and co-produced/co-wrote the podcast The Bush Push which was a Webby Award Honoree for Best Writing.
He also has served as the Executive Director for the CineStory Foundation, a 501c3 screenwriting organization that focuses on discovering and developing undiscovered writing talent.
