Is the grandson of Rudolph Charles, who was one of the inventors of the musical instrument known as the Steel Pan (Steel Drum).

From 2004-2006, Tristan toured with Repercussion Theatre, the only touring Shakespeare-in-the-Park company in the world.

He is named after Tristan Rogers, who played Robert Scorpio on 'General Hospital' (Rogers was his mother's favourite actor).

Tristan is an honours graduate of the Professional "Dome" Theatre Department of Dawson College in Montreal. He received the Brian Cloutte Memorial Award upon graduation for excellence in, and dedication to his profession and his craft, and for scholastic achievement.

He is good friends with Shawn Desman, Rutina Wesley, Dwain Murphy, & Kevin Duhaney - all of whom worked together on the dance drama 'How She Move'.
