Rob Paravonian is a standup comic and musician best known for his viral
Pachelbel Rant video which has been seen around the world and has been
subtitled in several languages. Rob was born and raised in Waukegan,
IL, received a creative writing degree cum laude from the University of
Southern California where he studied under author T.C. Boyle, and is
now based in New York.
Growing up Rob studied the cello, which he played throughout grade school and high school, and during and after college Rob played bass in several rock bands. Rob continues to write and produce music and he has composed pieces for television and film.
Rob's comedy career began in college at a student comedy competition. Rob began performing in the Los Angeles area during his years at U.S.C. and started working professionally after moving back to Chicago upon graduation. Rob moved to New York in the mid 90s and began performing in the downtown alternative comedy scene as well as at clubs like Gotham and Catch a Rising Star.
From 2007-2008 Rob opened several shows for George Carlin on the "It's Bad For Ya' tour and in August 2008 he performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
