Danny was born in London England, but was brought up by his Irish Parents in Northern Ireland. After serious deliberations about stage acting, Danny Patrick returned to his home in Northern Ireland to study Film and Media. His 1993 Short film (Alex Kidd) based on the popular Sega Master System game was popular within Irish Film Festivals. His debut feature was the gritty exploiter Malicious Intent (2000) Starring Jason Gerard and Former Featherweight Champion of the world Barry McGuigan. Hey Mr DJ followed in (2003) and provided the benchmarks for Danny Patrick's style: Brothers struggling with inner demons, pointed-shoes rock-meets-opera soundtracks and unrelenting cathartic violence. After the family comedy Moussaka & Chips (2005), with Ron Moody, Mike Reid, Jack Wild (which one Irish critic described as a comedy on Steroids). He returned to more familiar territory of estranged family in the Best Years (2014).
