Thanh Tran is a Los Angeles based Music Preparation Supervisor, Music Copyist, and Music Librarian for Film, TV, and Games.
Thanh's notable clients include, The Grammy Awards, Disney Parks Entertainment, Hollywood Scoring Los Angeles, Halo 4 & 5 (343 Industries), Bad Robot Productions, American Idol (ABC), League of Legends, Valorant (Riot Games), and Marvel Studios.
Thanh's major recording artist clients include, Harry Connick Jr., David Foster, Greg Phillinganes, Stevie Wonder, Branford Marsalis, Chick Corea, and Quincy Jones.
Thanh's passion has always been in film and game music. He has worked with renowned film and video game composers including, Alan Menken, William Ross, Nathan Barr, Garry Schyman, Rob Simonsen, and Christopher Young.
As Music Librarian, Thanh has worked extensively at major studios in Los Angeles including, The Barbra Streisand Scoring Stage (Sony), The Eastwood Scoring Stage (Warner Bros.), The Newman Scoring Stage (Fox), and Hollywood Scoring Studios.
In addition, Thanh has worked at the historical Abbey Road Studios and Air Studios in London as well as studios in Prague, Macedonia, and the Synchron Stage in Vienna, Austria.
Thanh's recent music preparation projects include, the Avengers Campus Marvel Cinematic Universe at Disneyland California Adventure, Overwatch 2 (Blizzard Entertainment), the Netflix series Arcane (Riot Games), and Marvel Studio's Deadpool and Wolverine.
Thanh is an adjunct faculty lecturer of Music Preparation for the University of Southern California (USC) in the Music Technology Dept. and the Screen Scoring graduate degree program. Additionally, Thanh is a Berklee College of Music Online faculty instructor on Finale and Sibelius music notation software.
Thanh is a Berklee College of Music Film Scoring alum (2000).
