Nearly 30 years since its original release in 1995, Rakesh Roshan is geared up to cast nostalgia by re-releasing the first-ever film starring the duo of Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, along with the power-packed ensemble of Rakhee, Kajol, Mamta Kulkarni, and Amrish Puri. Karan Arjun, which features chartbuster music by Rajesh Roshan, is scheduled to re-release globally on November 22nd, 2024.

Sunny Deol has revealed the reason as to why he was scared to touch his film ‘Gadar’ for a sequel. On the occasion of the film’s trailer launch, Sunny was joined along Utkarsh Sharma, Ameesha Patel and filmmaker Anil Sharma on Vijay Diwas on Wednesday.

With a runtime of two hour fifty-minute film, ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’ is the second most-watched Hindi film in India since the 1990s. It went on to emerge as the highest-grossing Hindi film since 1994 film ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!’

Talking about why he was nervous to touch ‘Gadar’, Sunny said at the trailer launch: “The first Gadar when we made people made it into a Gadar (humongous).”

The makers of ‘Gadar 2’ unveiled a new gritty motion poster of the upcoming film, where Sunny Deol’s character Tara is seen doing everything to save his onscreen son Jeete, played by Utakarsh Sharma .

The newly-launched motion poster begins with “A father’s love knows no boundaries” note written. It then shows Sunny and Utkarsh’s character running at the border while bullets are being fired at them.

A glimpse of the 65-year-old in an angry state can also be seen while bullets are being fired at the father-son duo. The motion poster ends with the iconic dialogue “Hindustan Zindabad” from the 2001 film ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’ mouthed by Sunny can be heard.

Mumbai, Feb 24 (Ians) Veteran actor Amrish Puri’s grandson, Vardhan Puri, who made his film debut in 2019 with the film ‘Yeh Saali Aashiqui’ is all set to work on an international series and will be starting the shoot for the same in June.

Although he has not made any announcements the sources suggest that Vardhan had been approached for the project in January and committed to it also.

If sources are to be believed, the project is primarily a human drama series and will be shot lavishly in the US. As per the sources: “Vardhan enjoys huge popularity, especially amongst the youth post the digital success of his critically acclaimed film ‘Yeh Saali Aashiqui’. The young actor who is also equally popular in the brand endorsement space will be collaborating with a production house based in the US and the series is expected to go on floors by June this year.

Blessed with a resounding baritone – and a fine singing voice too, Amitabh Bachchan was several times called to demonstrate his prowess in this respect – and never disappointed.

Manoj Kumar described his voice as “a mellow whisper, sounding like the murmurs of a thundery cloud” at their first meeting in September 1967, when Amitabh arrived in Bombay to try his luck in the film industry, the first film that he got – “Reshma aur Shera” (1971) had portrayed him as mute.

This, as per director and producer Sunil Dutt – who fulfilled his promise of giving him a break – and writer Ali Raza, was to evoke greater audience sympathy for him.
