Charlotte Mickie is the Vice-President of Celluloid Dreams, a Paris-based company specializing in the acquisition, promotion and sales of awarded and critically acclaimed art-house movies. With a career in the industry spanning 35 years, Charlotte has held similar executive positions at Mongrel Media, eOne, Alliance Atlantis and Alliance. While best-known for ability to discover work by first-time filmmakers, Charlotte has also worked on movies by such eminent directors as the Dardenne brothers, Jacques Audiard, Michael Haneke, Atom Egoyan, Denis Villeneuve, David Cronenberg, Michael Moore, Jafar Panahi and Hirokazu Kore-eda, among others.
Prior to her adventures in film, Charlotte worked for four years at a Montreal store specializing in the reclamation of antique architectural artifacts. She maintains a lively interest in antiques and heritage architecture, as well as being an avid collector of Canadian contemporary art. A former Director of the Board of The Powerplant, she also serves on several advisory board related to her professional activities and programs for the Open Roof Festival.
