- DirectorBill MelendezStarsAnn AltieriChris DoranSally DryerDepressed at the commercialism he sees around him, Charlie Brown tries to find a deeper meaning to Christmas.A surprisingly mature and very accurate depiction of Christmas. Charlie Brown and the gang try and put on a play. Lovely animation and vocal performances, as well as a look at the consumerism and meaning of the season. WATCH YEARLY!
- DirectorBob ClarkStarsPeter BillingsleyMelinda DillonDarren McGavinIn the 1940s, a young boy named Ralphie Parker attempts to convince his parents, teacher, and Santa Claus that a Red Ryder Range 200 Shot BB gun really is the perfect Christmas gift.A very funny coming of age tale about a boy wanting a BB Gun for Christmas. However, I'll never understand its cult like following as I think it's a bit overrated.
- DirectorJoe DanteStarsZach GalliganPhoebe CatesHoyt AxtonA young man inadvertently breaks three important rules concerning his new pet and unleashes a horde of malevolently mischievous monsters on a small town.A devilishly funny and dark Christmas tale. A young man gets a new pet, which spawns mischievous doppelgangers. They turn truly evil after they eat after midnight. Great characters, very funny, and surprisingly festive. WATCH YEARLY!
- DirectorHenry SelickStarsDanny ElfmanChris SarandonCatherine O'HaraJack Skellington, king of Halloween Town, discovers Christmas Town, but his attempts to bring Christmas to his home causes confusion. The king of Halloweentown decides he wants a shot at Christmas. Absolute holiday classic with incredible songs, wonderful visuals, and superb animation. WATCH YEARLY!
- DirectorRon HowardStarsJim CarreyTaylor MomsenKelleyOn the outskirts of Whoville lives a green, revenge-seeking Grinch who plans to ruin Christmas for all of the citizens of the town.Misguided live action interpretation of the classic tale by Dr. Seuss. Jim Carrey is OTT, and the film is painfully stretched to feature length running time.
- DirectorJon FavreauStarsWill FerrellJames CaanBob NewhartRaised as an oversized elf, Buddy travels from the North Pole to New York City to meet his biological father, Walter Hobbs, who doesn't know he exists and is in desperate need of some Christmas spirit. One of Santa's elves discovers he is actually a human and his real father is on the naughty list. He travels to New York to put things right. Hilarious script, a wonderfully naive performance by Will Ferrell, and a jolly silly good time. WATCH YEARLY!
- DirectorJohn ShepphirdStarsConnie SelleccaCorbin BernsenCole SprouseAfter a boy sees a man in Santa Claus suit kissing his mother, he thinks that the real Santa wants to replace his father, so he starts a prank-war with him.Annoying film in which a kid tries to misbehave to try and stop Santa fooling around with his mother. Of course, he doesn't realise it's his dad. Hilarity. It would be kind of a nice idea if the child actors weren't so irritating.
- DirectorRichard CurtisStarsHugh GrantMartine McCutcheonLiam NeesonFollows the lives of eight very different couples in dealing with their love lives in various loosely interrelated tales all set during a frantic month before Christmas in London, England.A number of interconnecting love stories set around London. Brilliant performances, and beautifully sweet scripting make this an annual event. WATCH YEARLY!
- DirectorJoe RothStarsTim AllenJamie Lee CurtisDan AykroydWith their daughter, Blair, away in Peru, Luther and Nora Krank decide to skip Christmas all together until she decides to come home, causing an uproar when they have to celebrate it at the last minute.Really bad in terms of humour. Allen and Curtis decide to skip Christmas so they can save money for a trip away. Unfortunately they are so rich, it doesn't seem like such a sacrifice. In the final moments it suddenly gains a heart with one of the most heartfelt Christmas moments. It's a shame it couldn't do a bit more.
- DirectorNeill FearnleyStarsMarla SokoloffPatrick J. AdamsLindy BoothGina and Seth have been pen pals for 13 years and now will have the chance to meet. Both used their best friends pictures to send to each other and now will let their friends meet. Two pen pals arrange to meet after 13 years of writing. However, they've given each other pictures of their friends (for some reason), so their friends have to meet up instead. It's pretty pants.
- DirectorCraig ClydeStarsTony AnthonyAndrea BatesKevin ConnellA romantic family comedy about what happens when a thirty-something lovable conman who owes money to the mob stands to receive a twenty million dollar inheritance if he can prove he's forsaken his street days and settled down with a family. Dave Coulier stars. (2007)A conman hires a fake family in order to inherit $20 million. The film is family friendly junk, in that the actions of characters makes no sense to the point it destroys the film's universe. Also the main actor is just a poor man's Jeff Daniels.
- DirectorSeth GordonStarsReese WitherspoonVince VaughnMary SteenburgenA couple struggles to visit all four of their divorced parents on Christmas.Vince Vaughan and Reese Witherspoon have trouble visiting all four of their parents over Christmas, putting a strain on their relationship. A few comical moments, but mostly predictable fluff.
- DirectorMichael FeiferStarsDean CainGary ValentineMario LopezThe Bannister family's new addition, Zeus (voiced by Mario Lopez of TV's SAVED BY THE BELL), the yellow Labrador, appears to be less than the dependable guard dog the family needs. However, when two burglars set out to break into the Bannister's home while they're away for Christmas, Zeus seizes the chance to be a hero, proving every dog - even this one - has his day. Dean Cain (TV's LOIS and CLARK), Gary Valentine (TV's THE KING OF QUEENS), Elisa Donovan (CLUELESS, TV's SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH), Mindy Sterling (AUSTIN POWERS), and Adrienne Barbeau (MAUDE, CARINVALE) also lend their voices in this heart-warming holiday movie.Very cheap Christmas film where it was obvious they couldn't even afford to train the dogs, which results in stuff happening off screen. The dogs' voices are also poorly mixed, and the mouths don't even move. It's basically Home Alone with a dog.
