- A trio of happy-go-lucky workers wipe sweat and work hard in every corner. As Chang is feeling anxious about his large number of traffic tickets, Qi suggests to get help from a lawyer. Song only remaining daughter ask whether they will get divorce as more and more argument between her and father since this brother was killed. Her daughter acting more and more repellent. In the meanwhile, Chi's roommate (Ying)'s younger brother has moved in since he cannot get along with his dad. Ying's brother get award in France film festival in a very young age but he has been criticized no longer have good production after the reward. He is doing a new filming in a kindergarten and "kidnap" all the children for his filming. One the the kids father is the defending attorney of Li incidence.
- The "kidnap" incidence make the public discuss whether should get those psychotic be trapped in mental institution. The defending attorney (Wang) attended forum with politician and mental doctor but the attorney stand in the side of those victimizers and defend they are being labeled and should understand the root cause. Even Wang daughter is one of the kids involved in this incidence. Wang's wife start questioning why Wang need to always help those psychotic and fight for their rights. This incidence make their daughter life in danger. Even the wife's family has opinion on such. Understand it's what his dream and mission but make their daughter in danger is unacceptable. One day, Wang ran into the Chi. He learnt Chi having a new life and found out her work related to one of the victim family. He wants Chi help to convince her parents to understand why their son killed people in first place. Given the fact that the son avoid seeing his family and didn't say a thing to defect himself. The killer is going to death sentence and hope answer can be found in the reunion. When Chi back home, she saw Ying's sister and brother having an argue. Ying start getting illusion of being spy after he returned from police department. His emotion is go to explore with knife on hand. Chi has called the police as their life was in threat.
- One of the victim family named Song C An has been suffered since the day her son was killed. Her personality has changed tremendously since after. She was workaholic, means, building walls from people. Workmate was scared of her and lots of people quit in her department. Her husband already sleep in office to avoid argue with her. For years, she accused herself not being a good mum and unable to protect her son. She cannot accept her careless and mistake made. After some time, she agreed to go with her husband to see an marriage consultant. On the other hand, Ying sentenced to mental hospital as he disagnoised 'early psychosis'. It was proved it is genetic. Ying's elder sister is planned to marry soon after dating for 6 years. She worried such illness will be passed to their future children. She has shared this with her fiancée. Everything seems to be fine as her fiancée shown to be very understanding, at that moment.
- The defending attorney (Wang) wife decided to move to his parents home as more and more disagreement with her husband. Wang disclosed his encounter in the past and explained why he fight for those victimizers. In the meantime, Wang convinced the killer to meet his family which he avoid his family since the incidence happened. Song C An daughter has moved out and she has been stepped back a little to rethink her changes for past 2 years with help of her husband. In a usual meeting one day, there's insider information that the killer will be executed shortly, earlier than expected. There's no public announcement on such. Chi knew this and called her parents immediately but the conservation was overheard by Song. At that night, the killer was executed without any acknowledge to his attorney and family. Chi has applied leave for her body check and Song has asked a crew to follow Chi secretly.
- Chi identity was finally disclosed by her own workplace crew. She ran into the office and asked why Song did this? She said "why my family and myself don't have rights to live ?" Then Song replied "rights? What about my dead son? He didn't has rights to live?" Chi then left and said "the news media has killed the people not less than my brother did". Chi was then abandoned herself again. Chi roommate, Ying, wedding will be coming soon. But her brother illness bother her fiancé mother. She requested a full body check before marriage. In the meantime, her brother situation has improved and can leave the mental hospital soon. But that time, Ying's father has a heart attack. She hesitated about the wedding. The defending attorney wife decided to move back. Song agreed to see marriage consultant but she sit for one minute then step out. The consultant advised the husband to take a first step for change. Sometimes one person can change can affect the others, Song situation is she cannot get rid of the anger and accused herself the reason losing her son. Her husband bring her back to the cinema where gun shoot happened and Song has finally break the wall inside her.....
- Chi has left the news department and start her life in her roommate beverage store as waitress. Ying brother can leave hospital but need take pill and checkup regularly. There are more and more disagreements between Ying and her fiancée. Wang wife who was pregnant with 6 month child moved back to live with his husband. Chi worked in a beverage shop and suddenly ran into her university senior who she has feeling before. But the senior stop contacting her after the gun shoot incidence. The senior asked her out and reunion. Ying's brother tried to start a new life and have a chance to be an assistant in a filming project. He stopped taking pills and the illusion come back. He has arguments with others and involved a fight. He was devastated when his sister arrive and asked "Why it was me?" Through the chaos, Ying observed her fiancée not care her and her family that much. Day after, many news reporters go to Chi shop and ask whether she was fully recovered ? She was betrayed by the university senior who work in one of the news media. The date before was a set up for the coverage.
- After the news coverage of Chi, people know where she's work. The family of victims come to the beverage shops and throw eggs to her. The shop has no more customers. Her parents also suffered the same without anyone buy their food. Ying decided to break up with that man as he's a horrible person. Song stepped out from the pain with the help of her husband. Her company was takeover by a business man. The business man want Song not to report some news for his own benefit. They have disagreement and Song was asked to transferred to another department. Ying's brother escape from taking pills. His illusion become more and more serious. He imagine Chi is his ex girlfriend but indeed she dead for years.
- Ying's brother gone crazy and run into the hospitals he used to stay. He finally got settled and calm down and asked "Why it was me?" The consultant replied "Probably you are one of the brave kind". Wang decided not to fight for any human rights and helped gang members for dismiss chargers. His wife has observed her husband become more and more unhappy, cannot sleep and get drunk. Her husband is becoming another person and lost his soul. One day, she finally asked him to chase back his dream. Wang has cried out and relief. On the other side, Chi and Ying is accommodating the downside in their life, even no customers visited the shop but they still very optimistic. Song has recovered and reunion with her family. She has left the pain behind and move forward. Wang found chance for meeting the victim family and Chi family. Hope everyone can share and open their mind and move onwards on their life. Years after, Chi find a job in a TV news department, and Song also quit her job and appointed a new role in the same company. They have met again and smile to each other, the story then over.
