it was amazing
Beautiful story on the fragility and miracle of stories

A really engaging and entertaining book that reminded me why stories are important and how they can be so universal, across time and space. I loved all of the characters and felt sad when the book came to an end, despite being over 600 pages. Highly recommend.

really liked it
Not your average YA novel

I love the YA genre, but it feels a bit played out sometimes, especially when the main character is too strong or too perfect. Each character here is nuanced and relatable, and I consider it a big win if I don't roll my eyes when romance enters the story. But actually, my favorite parts are the fables and morality tales that are sprinkled throughout -- really beautifully written and thoughtful.
