I'm always here for an arctic survival adventure, and the deep dive into the character of Hava was welcome as well. This book does lack the epic scope of some of the other books in the series, but it was a good read nonetheless. Also, Bitterblue seriously needs to stop travelling by ship. ...more

Ry’s last review of the year

really liked it
An odd book that examines places where boundaries become blurry and uncomfortable -- between artist and subject, performance and life, love and obsession, and, of course, reality and fiction. Sometimes it got a little repetitive in the middle, but the premise was intriguing enough to carry it a long way, and it packs a hell of a punch at the end.
