it was ok
I wanted to like this, yet the characters were hopelessly two-dimensional, the writing syrupy and full of cliches, and the plot predictable. The author’s skill simply did not live up to their ambition. Some parts of the book were better crafted than others, but the novel as a whole left me disappointed.
