It felt as if all the loose ends were tied up (sort of) in the last 10 pages with the perp being someone we’d never even seen or heard of in the whole novel. Unless I missed it. Also, these compound sentences of two unrelated clauses joined by “and”—annoying and lazy. I’ll read the next two though because I’ve read all of them so far!
