I have a copy of David's book behind me on a shelf. Will read soon. No idea why it's not available in the US. I know his previous works were, with favourable reviews in NYT, Wash. Post et al.
You are one of the few folks I've met online who knows who he is. Am impressed and thrilled. That list includes the NYC literary folks. Sigh.
He loved my novel, yet, I couldn't convince any agent of it, hence no big-six publisher. I should add, he is not quick to praise. Quite the opposite.
As for a print version. Would you pay $15 + shipping to buy it from amazon? At this point, few would. With so much to read, so much to do, why take a chance on an unknown writer?
Yet, all those names on the bestseller list today were unknown at some point in the past. Not that that's the objective, but it is for the publishers.
