La primera nos presenta a Otto, un niño que al perderse en el bosque, se encuentra con tres hermanas las cuales le encomiendan una misión a través de una armónica. La segunda (mi favorita) es sobre Frederich, y la historia de él se narra cuando Hitler comienza a hacerse poderoso en Alemania, la familia del niño esta en contra de la ideología nazi y es ahi cuando él se ve en la necesidad de proteger y salvar a su padre cuando los nazis descubren lo que ellos piensan. Mike y su hermano menor, aparecen en la tercer historia y ellos nos cuentan como quedaron huérfanos y cómo, nadie quiere adoptarlos. La última historia es la de Ivy, una niña que se muda de casa en casa y cuando al fin encuentra su lugar en el mundo, el miedo que tiene la gente por la guerra parece intentar evitar que ella sea feliz. Si tengo que contar a la perfección cada historia, me quedaría sin espacio pero estoy pensando en armar un vídeo para ello.
Me encantó el hecho de que cada historia y el libro en general nos dejan mil mensajes: a seguir nuestros ideales, a no dejar que los demás nos digan qué pensar, a proteger a nuestra familia y el valor que tiene esta, la poca importancia que tienen las cosas materiales mientras tengamos a nuestro lado a las personas que amamos, a valorar lo que poseemos y mucho más.
¿Que puedo decir? Me la pasé llorando todo el libro y si tardé en leerlo (aunque lo termine en dos días) es por el hecho de que mi corazón sufría mucho. Por favor, el final de cada historia me dejaba con un infarto.
Me enamoré tanto de cada personaje que me costaba dejarlos ir, de hecho cuando terminé la primer historia me puse a llorar pero no porque fuera triste (el final me había dejado en shock) pero me negué rotundamente a dejarlos ir y no quería empezar otra historia, quería que Eco girara alrededor de Frederick todo el libro. Una locura pero si lo leen me van a entender.
Al resto de los personajes también los ame profundamente y de hecho admiro a la autora por el poder que tiene cada personaje, es increíble como te encariñas de ellos rápidamente y como te transmiten sus sentimientos sin importancia alguna.
Las cuatro historias tienen algo en común: la armónica que las tres hermanas le entregan a Otto al principio y el amor que cada personaje tiene por la música, y al final me parecio increíble que la autora logrará hacer que los sueños de todos conecten entre sí.
Me encantó porque todo esta conectado y a medida que lo vas leyendo estas todo el tiempo buscando conexiones.
Como dije antes, podría pasarme la vida hablando de este libro porque es increíble en muchísimos sentidos. ...more "
