Ayunda (ayundabs) Because I just finished reading this book, I'll post a quote from this book:

"'I'm OK,' she whispered. 'I was just trying to remember something.'
'What?'
She attempted a smile. 'My phone number.'
'Your phone number? Why?' He stopped, and then added, 'No one ever remembers their phone number. When was the last time you called yourself?'"

- Michael Scott (The Magician)

Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) Lol, Ayunda. Was she like brain-damaged or something? (Never read the book)

message 6: by Ayunda (new)

Ayunda (ayundabs) no, a wise person put all her memories inside Sophie so it's hard for her to remember her own memories. :)

Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) "Her sold-out comeback tour had just been cancelled. And a girl could only reinvent herself so many times."
~~Lisi Harrison, Bratfest at Tiffany's

message 11: by Zakiya (new)

Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) These are all from the Forgotten Realms series, particularly The Dark Elf Trilogy:

"Those most powerful in Menzoberranzan spend their days watching over their shoulders, defending against the daggers that would find their backs. Their deaths usually come from the front."

"Rizzen, the present patron of the family, shifted uncomfortably. He knew, and so did everyone--even the slaves of House Do'Urden--that Drizzt was not his child."

" 'Then what is the purpose?' Drizzt began. 'You pull me away from my mother---'
" 'You will address her as Matron Malice,' Zak warned. 'You will always address her as Matron Malice.'
" 'From my mother---'
"Zak's next interruption came not with words but with the swing of a curled fist.
"Drizzt awoke about twenty minutes later.
" 'First lesson,' Zak explained, casually leaning against the wall a few feet away. 'For your own good. You will always address her as Matron Malice.' "

Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) "Herney had always believed the most dominating aspect of the Oval Office was the colorfuil American eagle emblazoned on the room's oval carpet. the eagle's left talon clutche an olive branch and his right a bundle of arrows. Few outsiders know that during times of peace, the eagle faced left--toward the olive branch. Bu tin times of war, the eagle mysteriously faced right--toward the arrows."
~Dan Brown, Deception Point
