Six of Crows (Six of Crows, #1) by Leigh Bardugo

Please discuss here and remember to use spoiler tags as needed, as everyone reads at different speeds and may start at different times.

Ketterdam: a bustling hub of international trade where anything can be had for the right price—and no one knows that better than criminal prodigy Kaz Brekker. Kaz is offered a chance at a deadly heist that could make him rich beyond his wildest dreams. But he can’t pull it off alone...

A convict with a thirst for revenge

A sharpshooter who can’t walk away from a wager

A runaway with a privileged past

A spy known as the Wraith

A Heartrender using her magic to survive the slums

A thief with a gift for unlikely escapes

Six dangerous outcasts. One impossible heist. Kaz’s crew is the only thing that might stand between the world and destruction—if they don’t kill each other first.

Perks Moderator | 488 comments As Six of Crows was already BoTM in 2016, according to the Group Rules this will be the 2nd and last time it could be nominated/chosen as BoTM again.

Happy reading!

Panda | 13 comments I just finished it and I realized that I purchased Shadow and Bone, Siege and Storm, and Six of Crows together for a reason! lol!

I read Six of Crows first, which may be why it was a bit confusing and I had no attachment to the characters.

Panda | 13 comments Can I ask, of those of you who enjoyed this book, how many of you did not read the Grisha series?

Curious. Thank you!

I haven't read the Grisha Trilogy yet. Six of Crows is my first Grishaverse book, I had to reread a few passages but overall I liked it. I am definitely going to read the second book after this one and then Shadow and Bones.

Panda | 13 comments Thank you Nina.

I really enjoyed the Grisha series, which I read after I finished Six of Crows. I will likely re-read Six of Crows at some point to see if my feelings changed now that I have been indoctrinated into the workings of the Grisha.

Knowing that you enjoyed it without pre-reading, may mean that I just didn't enjoy that one regardless. I appreciate your answer. Enjoy the next book!
