- A book that teaches you something new (what did it teach you it?) -
Clipped Wings by Helena Hunting, read 9/17/2017, 4 stars
What I learned: Tattooing the scars is very difficult, very painful for the person being tattooed, the more painful the fresher the scars are. The scarred skin does not take the ink easily, and sometimes it takes more than a few passes on the same places for the ink to take. For a bigger tattoos, it takes about 2 weeks between the sessions so that the inked skin heals nicely. And after taking off the protective foliage, the inked skin should be carefully washed so that all the unnecessary fluids are washed away and it would heal better.
- A book you have always wanted to read (why?) -

Why? I've heard amazing things about how this book made people feel, and many of my book friends have declared it their favorite, plus many of the authors I follow raved about how good this book is. I can finally afford it, so I can't wait to read it!

(what did it teach you?)

The Year We Hid Away 9/3 (3.5*)
I learned some Ice Hockey slang ie...Deke which means a fake. Also, the mental game plan for the Goalie. I went to my first Ice Hockey game last November so reading all this was pretty cool
-Book you have always wanted to read (why?)
Forbidden 9/23 (5*)
I added this book to my TBR list on 2/2013. It's mostly considered YA because of characters ages but to me...no way. The subject matter is too taboo, intense and mature. I would never put it on a YA shelf. Now why would I want to read this? Because of the high reviews considering the subject matter. This book was tough to read but I loved it. Loved these characters who wrecked my heart. Hated the whole idea of this story, but it was beautifully written.
-Book recommended by a friend
-Book set in an intriguing city
Love, in English 9/28 (5*) -Spain- I would love to go someday.
-Book from a different time period
