Jennifer (ace_librarian) The 12 Days of Christmas Readathon will take place from midnight Wednesday December 18th - Monday December 30th at 11:59.

The goal of this collective readathon is simple. We as a group want to get to Stage 12 in 12 13 days! Each stage (one for each of the 12 days of Christmas) takes 10 books to complete. So, in 13 days, we as a group are trying to read 120 books!

Rules for the Readathon
1. Books that are 100 pages or more will count!

2. Any format will do! Book, E-Book, Audiobooks, Graphic Novels.....Any format!

3. As long as you have at least 100 pages left in the book you are reading when the clock starts midnight on the 18th, you can count the book you are currently reading for the readathon. It's all on the honor system ;-)

4. No logs for this readathon. When you finish a book, just let me know in a new comment. You can have multiple books in a comment, but don't go back and edit previous comments. This will help me keep a count.

5. There is no minimum number of books you have to read to participate. If you read 10 books, GREAT! If you read 1 book, GREAT! We are working together, so EVERY book counts!

6. Have fun! This is no stress! You can set goals if you want when you sign up for your personal records, but it's just a fun way to collectively read and enjoy the holiday!

Ask me any questions you may have!

I read kids books and YA all of the time, Rachel. Keeps me young. I also recently saw Matilda on Broadway and wow was that dark and scary. Don't know how the children in the audience weren't traumatized by this.

Rachel (rachelkisley) It does, I love reading the odd kids book in between great tomes like Mill on the Floss and the Song of Ice and Fire series. Plus I thought a readathon would be a good excuse for getting through a few of them ;)
