2.5-star **SPOILERS under Sexual History**
Felt sorry for 38yo H who was obsessed with his wife & former employee, 23yo h. She was blase about him and overall emotionally-flat until she had a baby. She was much more loving towards their son than the Hero. She likely would have kept on living with their son without ever seeing Hero or informing him about their son. Their 2nd chance was slightly better since she seemed to be more emotionally awake & firmer in her identity and verbalized things with H. But their love still seemed quite 1-sided. Possible HEA only due to H's patient & great love for h.
Sexual History:
19yo h was a virgin when she married H after only a few weeks of dating him. She was so quiet and shy that she didn't seem to have dated anyone. H was a known player and told h that women were just a way to relax fro him but no one significant ever until h. He was taken by h @ 1st sight and would try to see her at work but she didn't seem to notice him while he couldn't stop thinking of her & finally approached her at a company party later. She left H 3 years ago because she thought he was having an affair with an ex-GF based on a magazine photo but never talked to him about it. She just left that same night & didn't contact H at all. H looked hired PIs to search for her but couldn't find her. Both were celibate during their 3 years apart.

Wow, this seems to be a rare Charlotte Lam book where the hero wasn't actually doing a bunch of shady shit 😂. Sounds like the heroine wasn't that into him, the poor guy. I prefer the H to be more in love than the h, but this h seems quite cold blooded 🤣.

@Seikai, cold-blooded is right. As well as confused, lost, & helpless. She didn't feel romantic towards H. But, boy, did she love her son. Which is not a bad thing. But such a contrast to how significantly less she loved H :-(
