A Cara Dee book on audio??? ABOUT DANG TIME!!!!
Audio – 4.5 Stars
Alex Kydd is new to me. I liked his voice, and he was great with accents. I did, however, have to increase the speed of the audio to 1.25 to really enjoy his performance.
Story – 5 Stars!!!
Cara Dee just keeps proving to me why she is a favorite author of mine.
Auctioned is dark. It deals with sex trafficking. I’ve read darker, but this was dark enough for me. I appreciate that the story didn’t go too much into the sadistic details of what was happening to the victims.
I would agree that this isn’t really a romance, but it’s pretty damn close in my opinion. There were a couple of sweet and intimate scenes. So, in true Cara Dee fashion, there was no denying the chemistry and connection between the MCs, Gray and Darius. I can only imagine what’s in store in the next 2 books.
Everything worked for me in this first installment, the pacing, the suspense, the action, and the REVENGE!! Even the ending was satisfying.
On to book 2 soon…but where the heck is book 3 already???

Yeah, it worked for a while, but now I'm back to huge holes in my feed and I guess I'm missing a lot. 😔
