"’Should have followed my idea,’ said Mr Vandemar.
’Would have scared her lots more of I’d pulled his head off while she wasn’t looking, then put my hand up through his throat and wiggled my fingers about. They always scream,’ he confided, ’when the eyeballs fall out.’ He demonstrated with his right hand, stabbing up with his fingers, and then wiggling them about.😅"

Idk it might have been. This is one of my favorites. His writing is abrupt and choppy but somehow it really works!! Also if you want to listen to this Gaiman narrates it splendidly. Theres also an audio version with a full cast which I heard is even better. 🌼

I think you’re right lol
Oh really?? I could only imagine what the full cast is like especially for the ‘below London’ characters :))
I’m reading the illustrated edition and I’m loving it so Much!

This is one of his books that I love. It seems like I'll read one of his books and love it, then hate the next one, then love the one after that. It's weird. This one was amazing though. :)

Gaiman’s been on my radar for far too long and I’m so happy I started with this.
I’m Glad you loved it. 😀

I feel the same!😀 thanks, will definitely check that out to. The next one I plan on checking is the ocean at the end of the lane. Hopefully it’s good🤞🤞

Gaiman is one of my favorite authors . I'm planning on reading the ocean at the end of the lane too . XD And yes , you should check out the graveyard book sometime . It's great too . ☺️
This is next on my reading list, my first foray into Gaiman prose (I’ve read Sandman). Really getting excited with all the love for him.

I’m starting to see why 😄 and yeah, the graveyard book is third on my list. Hope you enjoy the ocean at the end of the lane! Well, hope we both do lol

Thanks Sophie, it’s on my list!😁 once I get through his two books that’re on my priority list I’ll be getting to that one hopefully.

Hope you enjoy it! It is so charming and witty. And if you’re familiar with London/the London tube system it gets even more enjoyable.

I love this book so much. When I met him a few years ago, it’s the book I had him sign.
If you can, find the BBC radio production with James Mcavoy, Anthony Head, and Benedict Cumberbatch. It’s AMAZING.
