Poor Harry Dresden.
You sweet, oddly sexy, powerful wizard. You just CAN'T catch a break!
I adore this series and I adore listening to it on audio. I think James Marsters just keeps getting better and better. I can hear a wider range of voices in this one than in the previous books, and he is so SO DAMN PERFECT as Harry Dresden. I could listen to these books all day, every day.
Interestingly, a lot is left hanging at the end of this book. I can't wait to see where the next few books take me!

I love this series, but I can't listen to the audios, I keep hearing Paul Blackthorne's voice (from the TV version which I watched before knowing about the books)
I love the audio! This was one of the best audio performances yet by this narrator.
I love this series! Dresden is such a great character. Glad you're enjoying it!

It's good to hear that Marsters is getting better at his voice narrations, that was my biggest complaint. That and the audible breathing.

He kept like, huffing, in the earlier books. Much less huffing and swallowing. I still love the emotion and excitement in his voice. I can excuse lots of his flaws ;)
Can I skip the first three or four books? Is there any romance going on?

Awww...poor sweet, sad Harry! God, I'm so tempted to dash off to audible and dl the third book now. I'm trying to eke them out. Masters is Harry. Did I read somewhere that there is one book in the series he doesn't narrate?
Yes, Ghost Stories. It was dreadful! I only listened for twenty minutes before I wanted to claw my ears out!!

It's tempting to leave it out...or maybe just read it.
I will probably read it and then go back to listening to the series. I loves me some Marsters!! :)

These audiobooks are AWESOME, I think I'm up to 15 or 16 now and they just keep getting better!!!!! There is only 1 book Masters didn't read and I think it's book 11. I was SO PISSED OFF but I found out it was during his divorce, so all was forgiven. Great review and fantastic series

I got thru it Heather. Yes it was weird but @50% I let it go when I finally found out why and that he'd continued on with the other Audiobooks! It was really hard to find that information about why he didn't read it too. I can't even remember where I did find it. The narrator is NOTHING on Master's but someone had to read it. I was just saying today, WTF happened to Audiobooks not being released with the novel, then I found out it's unfortunately a predominant problem within the M/M genre. Most other major authors have them ready to rock on the release date
I'm not sure if I would have enjoyed it that much had I just read this series, but James Marsters makes everything perfect.. I Love James.
