Probably my favorite romance, and definitely my favorite Linda Howard - I find myself rereading this at least once a year! Jaine and Sam are such a great couple - there is great humor in this book, a bit of a mystery, and some really great love scenes. This is usually what I recommend when someone says they want to try reading a romance - I think it works well for most readers. This is one of those books that makes me shocked when I read someone didn't love it!
