Erin I like Austen and I have never managed to finish this boring ass novel.

Have you ever seen the adaptation by Ang Lee with Emma Thompson? (If so, did you enjoy it? - I really like her as Elinor.) I really liked when you talked about film on your channel, so I would love to hear your thoughts on it.

Salam Almahi YES! You understand!

Nina I still liiiiiiked it :D

Holly Dunn "Maybe it should be an extra line to "Modern Major General" from Pirates of Penzance"

You, Tressa, are a GENIUS!

Tristan This is a slow novel, but its beauty (and it has been my least favorite Austen so far) is in the characters and how they work within this "inactivity".

Mary This novel is great.

Rob Jones Me while reading: "Move the plot! move the plot"

Kim Try Gone Girl.

Daniel read for sentiment, not plot--Johnson says this of Richardson: same for Austen.

Cristina Mejía I am just finishing the book... and I have to agree with you

JGiuliar It's not what classics are for, if you want action you should read a thriller, this is about language, irony, characters not activity. It's not that the book is bad but your choice is.

Namra 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Cali I think I'm gonna have to agree with you. Not one of my favorite classics I've ever read

Abigail Woodard What a great way of putting it. I have been trying to nail down why it felt dull to me, and this is exactly why. Not the page turner that some of her other works are.

Auburn Owens Its called classic literature. If you don't enjoy any classic literature then of course you wont enjoy this, but anyone who enjoys the pursuit of knowledge should enjoy this

Me iT's cAlLeD cLaSsiC lItErAtUrE, aNyOnE WhO eNjOyS tHe PuRsUiT oF KnOwLeDgE... oh god shut up. The smugness. As if this novel were heavily laden with dense information and philosophy. It's a romantic drama, and it's a little thin on activity.

J I almost exclusively read "Classic Literature" and this novel was as dull as they get. It makes Francis Bacon essays look like Marvel Movies.
