Sir Roger Scruton is one of my heroes and, in likewise manner, Immanuel Kant is one of Scruton’s heroes and major influences. Scruton provides a concise and cogent summation of Kant’s philosophy. One of the things that struck me most is Kant’s emphasis on duty - it strikes me as very pietistic (but in an age that is gluttonous for self-centred fulfillment, Kant’s dictates about duty are very relevant).
