Sign of the Slayer (American Slayer Society Book 1)

4.5 ⭐️
“Sign of The Slayer” is a captivating dark academia/fantasy novel. It’s described as Full metal Alchemist meets Vampire Diaries. The plot revolves around a (seemingly) ordinary band girl who finds herself battling monsters after her best friend and bandmates are killed by vampires. Upon discovering she has the powers of a “Slayer” — marked by the symbolism imprinted on her hand, she finds herself in a school for Slayers where she learns to fight and uncovers the history of her kind. As the story unfolds, it reveals conspiracies, betrayals, and surprising allies.
I enjoyed the author's writing style and look forward to reading book two: Soul of The Stone.
