'I Will Break You' is a dark romance/psych thriller that'll have you losing your mind. It took me longer to read than usual because I wanted to soak up every twisted detail. Amythyst (MFC) will drive you crazy - sometimes you'll wanna smack her, others you'll wanna hug her. I enjoyed the letters from Xero, showcasing his intellect and complexity.
This story expertly crafts an atmosphere of unease, making you question everything. You'll find yourself re-reading sentences, trying to piece together the puzzle, and just when you think you've grasped the truth, the plot takes another turn. The character POV changes over time but is necessary; trust the process; the payoff is worth it. Gigi Styx's masterful storytelling will leave you breathless, expertly weaving intricate plot threads. Be prepared for a mind-bending experience! I thoroughly enjoyed this 4.5-star read. The cliffhanger makes me want to punch someone - “I Will Mend You” can’t come soon enough!
