A Girl Named Ghost

A Girl Named Ghost is an intense psychological thriller steeped in family schizophrenia, insanity, and ultimately evil. Webster's keen juxtaposition of the two major characters, Ghost and her grandmother, using chapter-to-chapter changes in POVs, intensifies the suspense throughout. Ghost's chapters are written in first person, which works incredibly well to personalize the character and carry the plot. The story has a "Hitchcock" feel to me. Highly recommended.
