Yeah, that ending wasn't amazing. The rest of the book tho was crazy it was so good 😍😍

Yes, I sort of feel the same. For the first half to two-thirds of this book, I legitimately thought it was one of the best things I'd ever read. Then it sort of just ended on a whimper. Still wonderful though :)

Anna Great review! Exactly how I feel after my re-read.

Jayson Anna wrote: "Great review! Exactly how I feel after my re-read."

Thanks a lot, Anna! I'm always meaning to do a re-read of the series, but I'm never in the right frame of mind. Happy to see you had a good time with it this second go-round :)

Alla I love these books, just the best!!

I understand - I tend to be a mood reader. This is my first time re-reading the series (excluding book 6 & 7), so I'm very excited to enter this world again. ^_^

Jayson Alla wrote: "I love these books, just the best!!"

I agree, Alla! I love them too :)

That's great to hear, Anna! Whenever I think of re-reading this I always decide not to because I'm not in the mood for a seven book saga. I wouldn't be able to just read the first one or stop partway.

My_Strange_Reading Amen! I feel the series just gets better as it goes. Love that it ages with its protagonists

Jayson My_Strange_Reading wrote: "Amen! I feel the series just gets better as it goes. Love that it ages with its protagonists"

Yes, I totally agree with that! There's not a book in the series that I thought took a step down from the one before it. It all built very well, and not only aged with its protagonists, but with its readership as well. I doubt it could have reached such broad an audience had it started with the tone of the last three or four books.

I'm happy to hear that, Rajeswari! It's wonderful there's a book that makes you feel that way :)

Rajeswari Roy Actually most of the books make me feel relaxed... 💕

Jayson Rajeswari wrote: "Actually most of the books make me feel relaxed... 💕"

That's even better. Often times we get worked up by books, and so it's nice to have a series to fall back on, every so often, and get carried away by :)

♡ Dakota ♡ (Sarcasm is my middle name) I’m so scared to read this novel. For so many people this was their childhood and I’m so afraid I won’t love the novels. I have seen the movies and while the movies are good I don’t get those feelings for the films so I’m like Will I for the book? I own the book so it will happen someday haha.

Yeah, I get how you feel. There's several books for me like that. It's the reason I still haven't read The Hobbit or The Lord of the Rings, though I own them. But no need to get too anxious about it. If you happen not to like it, or at least not as much as you expected, it's a conversation starter. People have opinions about it and want to talk :)

Alla I enjoyed the books more than the movies. The books are more "detailed" and I don't get the same "awe" from the movies that I got from reading the books. It happened more than once while reading the books that I just thought " how in the world does she get the imagination for all this"!!

Yes, I totally agree with that, Alla. I saw the first four movies first before reading the books, and didn't think they were anything spectacular, but the books really blew me away when I got to them.

I've actually never been to Europe, but if I do find myself in London I'll have to make a point to visit it :)

Sydney Scothon Have you read the illustrated versions yet the pictures in them are amazing

Jayson Sara wrote: "Wonderful review as always, Jayson!"

Thanks, Sara! I appreciate it :)

Jayson Sydney wrote: "Have you read the illustrated versions yet the pictures in them are amazing"

I haven't yet. I may do a reread with them once they're all released. With Harry Potter I'd have to read the whole thing, and can't just stop at book three or read different editions in the same run. I do plan to have my next reread be with the audiobooks.

Jayson Naomi Greene wrote: "dude you put this on twice??????????????"

I read it two different times, in two different formats, with two different editions, and wrote two different reviews.

Yes, dude, I put this on twice.

Yeetus cleetus what do you mean

Jayson Yeetus cleetus wrote: "what do you mean"

I mean exactly what I said. I don't believe this is a very complicated review at all. If you're wondering about the weak climax part, read messages 17-20 of this thread.
