I loved this. The premise of fated loves being tethered to each other through The Ring was such an interesting take on the red string of fate.
Once you turn 20 and if you come in to physical contact with your fated person a red ring will appear on both peoples fingers. You develop a fever and flu like symptoms and insomnia. Until you connect and sleep with your ring partner you will be in agonizing sleeplessness. Once united, sleep will be peaceful and restorative; healing. There’s no way to remove the rings.
So Wooseo's ring appears but it's not due to a connection with his best friend and secret crush, Jiseok. No, he paired with Jiseok's older brother, Jigeon!
It's such a great story about unrequited love but also being open to fate. Sometimes what we want isn't what we're meant to have.
