I received an ARC and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
This story begins with Kendra finalizing a divorce agreement with Dr McKoy and his wife Tessa. Later, Kendra receives a call from Dr. McCoy asking for help. It seems that his wife Tessa has been murdered. The next day she learns that her law partner has gotten Dr. McCoy out on bail. Now the hard part comes defending him in court.
For all intents and purposes, the case seems pretty cut and dried that Dr. McCoy is guilty. Read along and discover what efforts Kendra and her partner pursue in order to get their a not guilty verdict. Things look bad as their defense presentation is nearing the end. Learn what last minute event might help them win the case.
The ending is unexpected and the book is well worth reading. Don't miss out.
