Legal thrillers are one of my favorite subjects to read about and Baldacci knocked it out of the park with this one. It’s a book that’s as thought-provoking as it is thrilling.
• A legal thriller set in 1968 Virginia tackling racial injustice.
• White lawyer Jack Lee and Black lawyer Desiree DuBose are the lawyer duo you’ll root for as they defend a wrongfully-accused black man in a racially-charged trial.
• It’s not just a page-turner; it’s a compelling book that blends a thrilling plot with important historical civil rights lessons.
This is a must-read for fans of historical fiction and those who love a story that’s both engaging and enlightening.
