4.5 ⭐️ rounded up. This was such a pleasant surprise! I loved everything about this (minus the mild language). I related to Mavis’s character and her thoughts surrounding motherhood and work and loved how this book explored these themes as they relate to black moms. I also love the hint of romance in here! I’m looking forward to the next book in the series! 👏🏾
