I was expecting to love this one. And I did like it. Who doesn't like a childhood sweetheart, second chance book? I was just expecting more. More feels I guess.
Macy and Elliot. Childhood loves. Then something happens that tears them apart. 11 years later they run into each other in a cafe and everything comes flooding back.
The only thing holding this together really is the "what happened back then" theme that went throughout the book. I enjoyed the back and forth in time format, leading on to what actually happened. But it was all a bit... Unbelievable... over the top? I don't know.
Anyway I liked it, didn't love it. Obvious twist. Characters: Meh. Even the boyfriend didnt even put up a fight. Im struggling with the absurdity of it all really.
Onwards and upwards.
