Better than most books I've read these days. I have but one qualm however, and I will try to make it as non spoilery as possible.
When Scarlet finds out who she truly is, why does she can't a certain someone hid everything from her when the book literally states that said person tried to tell her, but she'd take every opportunity possible to avoid the conversation and change the topic. Like what??

11.0% "I like what's going on so far, but I can't help but feel a little confused. We are thrown in so suddenly with this desire of Scarlett's to learn to fight like a soldier without any real setup. I feel so lost, like why do I care? What's going on? And then this tension I don't care about between Ryker and Scarlett feels forced, but also again, why do I care? I literally don't know what's going on ..."
