THe book was a little slow to start, there's only so much you can do with a months long walk after all (and none of us want Jordan to start channeling Jean Auel after all). But once the characters reach their destination and get settled in the story really gets rolling and from there it's a non-stop run of horror, both supernatural and mundane, to the last page.
