I can see why there are a lot of 5 star reviews of this book, the premise is really interesting and it is well written, but it really fell flat for me. The characters all seemed too alike, and any notion of a study of grief felt lost after Magos POV. I also felt like homosexuality was used as a means to be relevant.

"I feel like I am a bit confused with this book. I know that it’s meant to be a gripping tale of grief, but so far I don’t feel the ramifications of grief in the writing, and the pov between magos and Lena seem extremely similar in character"
