it was amazing
bookshelves: books-bookstore-library, historical-fiction, war, world-war-two

Who would ever think to call a world war two book charming? But this one goes straight to the heart. Those who have described it as a love letter or love song to readers and books, they are right on the spot. The experience of books as having the chance to offer hope, and be a light to others in the darkness. To inspire and muster courage. To connect, and to find a way to continue to live and give. Our Grace is the most unlikely and yet extraordinary of heroines. She lives from the heart. As promised, the book grew on me and "got" me straight through the heart.
