Doris I always wonder is love enough. So curious about your book

message 2: by Heather (new) - added it

Heather Okay. I was about to add your book to my To Read list after Karen Swallow Prior posted about it on Instagram, but after reading this, TOP of my list. 😆 💕

message 3: by Rae (new) - added it

Rae Thanks for writing it.

Laurie I just finished it yesterday after not being able to stop listening. I find myself praying for you guys today. Thank you for your gritty honesty. I believe your story is a gift for those who read it.

Marianne Harrison, nobody is suggesting you aren’t telling the truth. In fact, I would suggest that you are telling more truth than you appear to realize. Everyone can see it except you. We can all see the truth of you.

Angela Thank you for writing such an important book. It meant the world to me.

Marty Blown away by this book. Finished it in a few days. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Both of you for releasing it. Absolutely moved me to tears and laughter often at the same time. I wrote a 5 star review here and it deserves it. I cannot even tell you how important this book has been for me to read. Again, Thank You

Maddmum M Thank you for writing this book and including your wife. It’s what we all need to hear and has made me think twice - or three times about my marriage. 🙏🏻🌻😊

Samantha I’m not sure how emotional and mental torture is “hilarious” but Lauren, if you’re reading this, please set up a go fund me for your attorney fees. I’ll personally do whatever I can to help you escape.
I suppose the silver lining is that a good attorney might be able to submit the author’s own work as evidence of this dude’s absolutely abhorrent behavior.

Ann Gemmel Simply brutal & also beautiful. Thank you for your profound honestly amidst sharing the depths of your treacherous road. May God continue to be both you and Lauren’s refuge and strength!

message 11: by Sue (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sue Raw and real. Thank you for sharing this all too rare look into a real life shit show. Life is messy and imperfect. How brave of both of you to put this out in the world.

Christy Thank you for telling the truth in a way that makes us laugh so we can keep on living after facing it. Love your writing. We all need this book- single, married, gay, straight, side B, Palestinians and Israelis. We need the miracle of grace and love to overcome darkness. Thank you for sharing the miracle.

Howard C The book was well written and I hope things work out for you. What bothered me was even in her chapter she showed no contrition for the immense pain she put you and your family through. Even after you rescued her she still was in contact with him. She in the end got everything she wanted. An intense love affair, great sex with him, and returns to your family with no consequences. Like I said, I hope there is not a follow up book with a heartbreaking story of her returning to him once again

Lori I loved this book so much. In addition to my other review I wanted to say thank you for introducing me to so many wonderful words. You old lexicomane you.

Meredith McManus Well, if you were wondering who would write a book about their spouse’s affair, it’s the guy who also gives himself a 5-star review on Goodreads for said book.

Tonia Gutting Brave, edge of seat writing. For those who need hope that people can change, life can change, God can redeem and restore the fallen—all of us. Thank you for this life and death concept wrapped in an incredible tale.

Jennifer What Meredith said.

Emilee C So glad your wife got to tell her story. It wasn't as funny as yours but necessary all the same. I think you two talk about religion so realistically; it definitely makes me feel a little more open to it.

Emilee C Oh and if anyone gives this a low rating, they are at least related to CHAD!

Tonya Matheson This book is not your typical book about a Christian who forgives a cheating spouse and then everything is hunky-dory. If you are seeking that, then look elsewhere. If you have one iota of a sense of humor and want to read about two incredibly flawed human beings, who got married with unresolved issues, and eventually came to their senses with the help of good counseling and God, then this is your book! I could not put it down!

message 21: by Jenn (new) - rated it 4 stars

Jenn Nelson Loved this book. Raw, real, emotional, funny, and inspiring. I read it in two days. Thank you !

Emily Reynolds Okay did I miss something? What was in the wedding photo that was his sign their marriage was never going to work?
