I was quite sure I'd love this book, but it was forgettable with a franky stupid twist at the end. The vibes were good, tho.

Actually I saw you read it Anna and then I saw it at my library and thought I'd give it a shot. I don't really like this back and forth kind of narration, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't for me. Now you saying there's a stupid twist doesn't really give hope that I might pick it up again, but let's see.
I also saw you finished Will to Battle, how did that one go? I loved the first two books of the series but read them quite some time ago and waited with Will to Battle because I was afraid there would be a cliffhanger and I didn't want to to wait for the fourth book to be published. Did you like it?

I liked Will to Battle, but not as much as the first two books. I think it is slower, Mycroft is more of a bystander in this one than in the previous books. It is basically a prelude to war. I can confirm there's no cliffhanger :)

Nice! Prelude to war sounds very exciting, really. Although I like Mycroft - despite his deeds - I think I can do with him not being the focal point. I was planing on finishing it this year still, so I might read it next! Thank you for the confirmation :)

It is a good premise, A, unfortunately not for me.

I already did return it joy-boy. Yet again Federico with a gif, do they come from your family's dusty bookcase too?
