i don't know maybe this is too high maybe it's not high enough?

basically i mostly enjoyed listening to the book but at the same time i wasn't really a fan of either main characters whilst i loved almost everyone else.

so i rated it 4 stars primarily because of everyone but the mcs.

i really liked the book up to like a half? and then i just realized that i don't really like them together since they don't have the chemistry and do everything overly dramatic plus after reuniting after 5 years they didn't mature at all.

i think that the book is still written nicely, introducing people into two socially different families and their problems. i'm not personally familiar with immigrant situation in the usa but from what i know from family members that had experienced it i'd say this is probably a really good portrayal of the situation (regardless of where you come from really - every group encounters similar issues).

in the end, i think that the family dynamic was much more important even though it ended up being overly dramatic and romantic story imo.

9/10 audio - the narrator did a very good job.
