NO NO NO, not my girl Eloise :(((( I'm so disappointed in this book. Ms. Quinn did Eloise SOOOOO DIRTY in this book. I hope they do Eloise so much better in the show bc her book was a MESS. I was hoping that by the end I would have some sort of resolution but alas, it was a very disappointing and a quite pitiful ending. Sir Phillip was abysmal, daft, and honestly, an immature asshole. the way he would regard Eloise's concerns for their marriage with such little care was incredibly off-putting. she would say that she didn't feel the marriage was going well for whatever VALID reason and he would be like "I've been in a bad marriage and this is nothing like that so don't be unhappy or worrisome ever." LIKE SHE CAN HAVE CONCERNS AND SHE SHOULD VOICE THEM TO YOU AS YOUR SPOUSE!!! THAT DOESN'T MEAN SHE'S GOING TO LEAVE YOU, YOU IMMATURE, INSECURE MANCHILD!!! Eloise deserved so much better than him and I sincerely hope they make his character much better in the TV show bc I'm very disappointed.
