it was amazing

as a fellow depressed and sleepy girl i really felt the main character. i love to sleep, i can take up to like 3 naps a day. some days i like to see how many naps i can take. i know the main character is seen as “unlikeable” but tbh as someone who is depressed, seeing people happy or just people in general is annoying this book is really just myonnafication of it all.

now obviously i can’t relate to being rich and her white privilege so sometimes reading this it did cause me to roll my eyes. i could also argue that the point of that was to show that money doesn’t equal happiness blah blah. i also just read it as a reason to make the story flow without the readers having to ask “doesn’t she have a job? how does she pay for things” and to make her more unlikable.

the main character was entertaining to me i’m sorry she was terrible, a liar and a manipulator and it kept me intrigued. this was more enjoyable to listen to as an audiobook than to physically read. there was some things said that was… questionable so idk how to really feel about that even though the middle dragged i didn’t mind because i there would usually be something the main character said that would throw me off.
