4.5 stars - Mystery/Thriller/Horror

I've read several books by this author recently, and I've been impressed with all of them. The Burning Girls is a very multi-layered, gripping, eerie, complex, provocative, and creepy mystery/thriller with elements of chilling suspense and supernatural folk horror. Tudor has credited Stephen King for being a huge influence on her work, and you can definitely tell. Stephen King has also recommended her books to his readers.

This book reads like a British TV series or movie, especially with the fantastic audiobook narration from Gemma Whelan and Richard Armitage. It was made into a TV series in 2023 with actress Samantha Morton, and I'm definitely going to watch it.
