Plot Summary :
Nicole gave up her life years ago when the one person who was her family went to jail. Now after years of running away, she is there in a new city, ready to finally start a job. Things are finally looking good for her only for her to find that her new boss is none other than the one person because of whom she went away in the first place. The only boy she has ever wanted. The boy she hurt. And now the man who will stop at nothing to make her pay and ruin her.

Daniel thought he laid his ghosts to rest years ago until one of them comes back to smack him right where it hurts. Nicole. His reason for his torment. The reason he hates blondes. She is the one person he could run away from no matter how hard he tried. She was the one who broke him then and now she will feel his wrath. His hate for her. He will make her suffer, swash her like the bug she is and maybe then he can finally have some peace. Only he didn't expect to still love her. Still see her like no one else ever did. And that might be the one thing that will ruin them both in the end. Because the whole reason he hated her in the first place was not it seemed and this time, it would be him who will be asking for forgiveness.

Overall Opinion :
Ever since I got a whiff of Nicole and Daniel in CRUEL KINGS, I have been wanting this book! Nicole was a real bitch back then, so I knew when they both had matured, some killer angst might be there. Also, this is me shouting to you all here, I know you don't like Nicole. I know what she did in cruel kings was very horrible but just trust me when I say that things are not like they seem. How she was portrayed in Cruel kings was intentionally done but this time, we see what has actually happened. I hope you guys see the truth from the pov of the actual characters with whom it happened rather than condemning them for what you heard from Astrid.

The angst in this book is amazing! Daniel is one the cruelest bosses of all time and damn he is crazy. I loved every second of his possessiveness so much. The way he loved and hated Nicole could be seen through his words and I loved finally knowing their truth. We see many cameos of other characters in this book as well and you guys are in for some surprises!

Now the wait begins for Aspen and King! I have been waiting for these two since they were mentioned in book one but omg , after this book I am so much more crazy for them. I hope we get their book real soon because it's totally going to be the hottest one in this series.

To all the people rating the book 1 star before even reading it since it has not been released, let me assure you that EVERY, AND I DO MEAN EVERY one of the past scenes that we did not like by Nicole is explained in this book. Things were different than what we thought. Even I was shocked. The way the scenes are written in cruel kings was from astrid's POV and for her Nicole was the villain , which she was, I won't deny that but that somewhat affected the way she depicted Nicole. What I am saying is that in this book the characters are mature and every thing is explained. I am repeating it again that all the scenes happened very very differently and YOU GUYS THINK THAT YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENED BUT YOU DO NOT. Just read the damn book and see what ACTUALLY happened in the past with Nicole and Daniel and then edit your review. Nicole is a Survivor. What she sent through will shock you like it did to me. It will break your heart. I know you all hate her because of what she did and so did I but now I don't. I don't really care if you post a bad review but please read the book ❤ After that your opinions will be your own no matter if they are positive or negative.


I have never liked bullying but this is what THIS IS. You guys are rating a book that has not even been released yet. You are dictating what the author should write and what she should not which is wrong. If you don't like her work then look the other way, she is not forcing you to read it but THIS IS WRONG. I can't believe people are actually doing this, like you guys doing this are the lowest of the low. Just read the book before rating it.


From what I have seen in this book world is that people are very eager to read A hero's redemption book but if that is the case for the heroine, they won't accept it. I will admit that what Nicole did was bad but I have read the ARC and trust me when I say that things happened very differently than what they are portrayed in CRUEL KING. Even that drug scene and so much more. Everything was different. Please give both Nicole and Daniel a single chance and then decide how the book is. I am not at all telling you to give the book a good rating if you don't like it, just read it first❤ That's all from my side.
