Damaged, rugged, reclusive hero ✅ The Hero being the submissive was a refreshing angle. The major con was that I hated the heroine’s constant body talk. She CONSTANTLY mentions losing a bunch of weight before meeting the H and it really put me off. It honestly felt like the author was projecting her own fatphobia. Fat people deserve love/affection too and the heroine would have been just as deserving had she met the H while in a larger body. The ending was also super unsatisfying.
